History of Ingleside Ingleside derived its name from a mansion called Ingleside House, which was built in the year 1880. The house was built by an industrial chemist Baron Von Beirenm who specialized in gunpowder and explosives. He was also the founder of a factory named Australian Gunpowder and Explosives Manufacturing Company. The famous road Powder Works Road derived its name from Baron’s factory.
