History of Benaraby Benaraby was originally an agricultural region. However, it has lately transformed into a residential neighbourhood for Gladstone, Boyne Island, and Tannum Sands personnel. This little town only had a population of 594 people, according to the 2006 census. Furthermore, Boyne River Provisional School started on July 12, 1886, and closed in November of that year. It reopened on August 24, 1903. On January 1, 1909, it was renamed Benaraby State School.
