Living in Burbank Beautifully outlined by the Tingalpa Reservoir, Burbank is a peaceful and plush community ideal for families and retirees. The area has not been split into residential blocks to ensure a lower population and guarantee the proper water supply allocation among the locals. Public transport, as well as commercial establishments, are pretty limited.
History of Burbank Previously called Upper Tingalpa, Burbank earned its name from Alfred Harry Burbank, one of the earliest residents in the area. He was a farmer and a surveyor who lived in the community between 1890 to 1908. There were also reports that it was named from a local horse dealer named Frank Burbank. In 1990, the Sinai College was established with the Bushland Preservation Levy. Subsequently, in 2008, the suburb was recognized for having a private property considered a conservation area under the Brisbane City Council.
