Overview Burbank is a suburb in Brisbane City that is considered a greenbelt. This outer locality is a large expanse covering several intermittent creeks that traverse rolling hills. Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road serves as the primary pathway in the area, along with Broadwater Road. The community is bordered by the cities of Redland and Logan, particularly by the communities of Chandler, Capalaba, MacKenzie, Rochedale, Rochedale South, Priestdale, and Sheldon.

History of Burbank Previously called Upper Tingalpa, Burbank earned its name from Alfred Harry Burbank, one of the earliest residents in the area. He was a farmer and a surveyor who lived in the community between 1890 to 1908. There were also reports that it was named from a local horse dealer named Frank Burbank. In 1990, the Sinai College was established with the Bushland Preservation Levy. Subsequently, in 2008, the suburb was recognized for having a private property considered a conservation area under the Brisbane City Council.
