This is a large suburb at 8.3 square kilometres with a distance of 4.5 km from the Caloundra central business district. It is also located 89 km from Brisbane CBD. Caloundra West is bordered by a few other suburbs such as Little Mountain, Aroona, Caloundra, Baringa, Golden Beach, Bells Creek, and Pelican Waters.
