Overview Carbrook, a suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, has an area of 16.9 square kilometres. It had a recorded population of 1,216 people (2016 census). Carbrook is surrounded by the suburbs of Mount Cotton, Redland Bay, Eagleby, and Alberton.
Carbrook is 37 kilometres from the southern tip of Brisbane. It is within the local government area of Logan City.
Living in Carbrook Carbrook has maintained its rural atmosphere, although most of its area has been converted to rural residential land.
Recreational facilities in Carbrook include the Carbrook Golf Course, which is at the edge of a creek leading to the nearby ocean. Many say that over a dozen bull sharks can be found at a lake near the golf course. The Aquatic Gardens Water Ski Center is perfect for swimming and camping.
Large areas in the suburb have been reserved to be developed as conservation parks. The primary industry along the river is gravel and sand mining.
In Carbrook can be found one of the three operating cable parks in Australia, which is over the Logan River. The Cable Ski Logan offers first-time kneeboarders and experienced wakeboarders thrilling experiences. A caravan park lies adjacent to the Cable Ski Logn.

*History of Carbrook Carbrook was previously known as Gramzow, a German name of a village in Uckermark, Northern Germany. This was the name early German settlers gave to the area when they arrived in 1867.
During World War I, German names were so unpopular. So, in 1916, Gramzow was renamed Carbrook. Carbrook was, until 1948, part of the Shire of Tingalpa.
