Living in Colobee Colobee grew following efforts of the Blacktown city council in the early 1990s and today is home to many modern housing estates, great parks and a world-class golf course. The Marsden Park business centre is next door. The green cover, infrastructure and public amenities make it a sought-after suburb.

History of Colebee The suburb bears the name of Aboriginal leader Colobee, the first indigenous Australian to get land grants from the English colonial government. After the English arrival in Sydney in 1788, the Aboriginals faced many problems in their access to food and forest, causing an impact on their lives. Soon conflicts broke out. Colobee, a warrior leading his clan, was captured and imprisoned. Afterwards, Colobee was befriended and grated land at the Plumpton Ridge. He moved to the area with his people and settled in the present-day Colebee suburb.
