Overview Corinda is a suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland. This suburb was established in 1862 and spans a total land area of 3 square kilometres. It is located 13 km southwest of Brisbane. Corinda is bounded by a few suburbs such as Fig Tree Pocket, Sherwood, Rocklea, and Oxley.
Living in Corinda Corinda is a residential suburb that is bound by the Brisbane River and Oxley Creek. The eastern portion of the suburb is prone to flood, and the western portion is hilly, which is why it is the preferred spot for housing development. History of Corinda Corinda is a suburb that was potentially named after the property of Sir Arthur Palmer. This suburb was mainly used for farming in the early days of its history. By the 1980s, its social infrastructure began to develop until it was subdivided for housing.
