History in East Brisbane East Brisbane's biggest urban districts were established during the Brisbane construction boom of the 1880s. The Heathfield Property, for example, was built in 1886 and was such an outstanding construction. After the ceremonial inauguration ceremony on July 8, 1899, East Brisbane School officially opened on July 10, 1899. To mark its 5th decade, the school conducted a jubilee gala in November 1949. Meanwhile, in 1881, bidder David Love offered 232 parcels of property as Longlands Estates to be sold on November 26, 1881. The estate presently includes the Norman Street, Longlands, and Fisher in East Brisbane.
