Overview Emu Park is a coastal suburb that is located within the Shire of Livingstone local government area in Queensland. It is part of the Capricorn Coast region and is approximately 26 km from Yeppoon and 668 km from Brisbane. This is a large town spanning a total land area of 39 square kilometres. Emu Park is bordered by the localities of Kinka Beach, The Keppels, Tanby, Zilzie and Coorooman.

Living in Emu Park Emu Park is located in Central Queensland and is bordered by Shoal Bay. The northern portion of the suburb consists of primarily undeveloped wetlands, and the eastern portion is where most of the urban developments are. In particular, the east is filled with housing developments and the most basic services. There is a primary school in Emu Park but no secondary school. It is also serviced by emergency services, including a police station, ambulance station, and fire station.

History of Emu Park The suburb of Emu Park was established in the 1870s following the construction of seaside houses by many Rockhampton families. Most of these homes offered an overlooking view of the beach, particularly Pine Beach and Fisherman’s Beach. The first school opened in the town in 1980, and there were more establishments built by the 1920s.
