It is part of the Capricorn Coast region and is approximately 26 km from Yeppoon and 668 km from Brisbane. This is a large town spanning a total land area of 39 square kilometres. Emu Park is bordered by the localities of Kinka Beach, The Keppels, Tanby, Zilzie and Coorooman.
