Fairlight is bordered by a few other suburbs such as Manly Vale, Queenscliff, Balgowlah, Manly, and Balgowlah Heights.

History of Fairlight The suburb of Fairlight is named after the Fairlight House that was built on land owned by Henry Gilbert Smith. The house itself was named after the historic village of Fairlight in East Sussex, England.
