History of Flagstone Flagstone is situated in the Bundjalung traditional Aboriginal country and has the Yagarabul classic Aboriginal land towards its north. The name Flagstone came from Flagstone Creek, which flows into the Logan River south of Chadwick Drive in South Maclean. In 1996, the suburban development started with some infrastructure and roads. In 1997, the Minister of Natural Resources named Flagstone as a neighbourhood within the Undullah and Jimboomba areas. However, it became a bounded suburb and district. The schools started to open in the area in 1998, and in 2010, a PDA was declared regarding the expansion of the Greater Flagstone.
