History of Glenwood Glenwood was named after the historic structure within the suburb, Glenwood Park. However, this title wasn’t the original name of the property. It was previously called Norfolk Vale from 1846 to 1882. Then from 1882 to 1941, it transitioned into Sorrento. Accordingly, the locality was only documented as a suburb in 1996, and it was the first location in Rouse Hill to be developed.
