Overview Kelso is a small suburb of Bathurst located in New South Wales, Australia. Earlier, Kelso had a railway station on the Main Western Line but closed in 1975. Now, it is served by coach services. Also, Kelso High School was converted to Denison College of Secondary Education.
Living in Kelso Though Kelso is a small suburb, it has some beautiful places to visit and exciting things to do. Holy Trinity Church is a popular place in Kelso, and it was built in 1835. The church has a historical cemetery surrounding it and contains many of the Kelso/Bathurst district’s pioneers.
History of Kelso Kelso was the original European settlement in the area. The first ten farmers were granted 50 acres each. In 1816, the initial settlement of Bathurst was established on Macquarie River’s eastern banks. The suburb has several heritage-listed sites, including Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
