Overview Kingsholme is a small rural suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It shares a boundary with Darlington Range to the West. Also, a small portion of the northeastern border follows the Pacific Motorway. In the 2016 census, the locality had a population of 286 people.

The locality has many parks, including Edward Corbould Reserve and Nature Retreat, Gerrale Dr Reserve 1, Gerrale Dr Reserve 2, Hidden Court Reserve, Howard Creek Reserve, Monty Kerkin Environmental Reserve, Ormeau Hill District Sports Park, Rocky Creek Conservation Area, the Grange Environmental Park, and many more. There is also a fire station on the southern side of the eastern end of Upper Ormeau Road. There are no schools in the locality, and the nearest one is in neighbouring Ormeau. History of Kingsholme Kingsholme was named by James Murtha in 1869, who hailed from County Cork, Ireland. He named his property Kingsholme and that’s where the name of the locality came from. The Thomson family is another notable family in the locality who came from Scotland in 1889. The locality has many farming families who grew sugarcane, bananas, and arrowroot. Some of them also used to do dairying or sawmill. Many former farms have been sub-divided today.
