Overview Leppington is a suburb in the local government of Liverpool City and Camden Council. It is 38 km away from the capital and is encircled by the localities of Austral, Rossmore, West Hoxton, Horningsea Park, Denham Court, Gledswood Hills, and Catherine Field. The Camden Valley Way traverses the western and southern sections and then connects to other roads in the region. In 2016, the area had a population of 6,529.
Living in Leppington Leppington is a rural community that is continuously thriving over the years. With Camden Valley Way passing through the area, transportation is not a problem. This particular road links to both Liverpool and Camden, together with the Westlink M7. History of Leppington Though the earliest settlers of Leppington were the Darug people, the name of the suburb originated from Leppington Park, a property received by William Cordeaux in 1821. Subsequently, he built a mansion, which unfortunately got destroyed by a fire in the 1940s. Fascinatingly, Cordeaux wasn’t the first person who received a land grant around the area. It was Alexander Riley who also had a property called Raby. Raby is now used as a name of a suburb south of Leppington.
