Rossmore is 41 kilometres from Sydney. It is bordered by Kemps Creek (east), South Creek (west), and Rileys Creek (south). Rossmore is within the local government area of Camden Council and Liverpool.
Living in Rossmore Rossmore is an ideal suburb to raise kids, with nice parks and open spaces for families to enjoy. Bringelly Road is the main road leading to the suburb's city centre. History of Rossmore Rossmore used to be called Cabramatta, the name of the parish in the area. "The Cabramatta Store", said to be the first novel written by a woman author in Australia, featured Cabramatta.
In Cabramatta was Rossmore Stud, a horse stud derived from the Rossmore Lodge, a well-known horse stud in Ireland. To distinguish the Rossmore Stud from the new station built in Cabramatta, the suburb was named Rossmore. The Rossmore Post Office opened on March 22, 1897.
