Overview Loganlea is a suburb to the west of the Logan River in the City of Logan. In the northern limits of Loganlea, the Beenleigh railway line and the Logan Motorway can be accessed. West of the suburb is the Kingston Road and Scrubby Creek. With a land area of 5.6 square kilometres, Loganlea was home to 10,435 locals, according to the national census in 2016.

History of Loganlea Historically, the borders of Loganlea extended further in a large area of land and water between Waterford and Slacks Creek. Sir Ralph Darling gave the name of the Logan River after the Commandant and soldier Captain Patrick Logan in 1827. Before it was officially established as a separate suburb, Loganlea was a part of the Shire of Tingalpa. Residential developments did not occur in the area until the 1970s to the 1980s.
