It is bounded with Bundamba Creek to its east, and the Centenary Highway passes through its southeast corner. The suburb lies within the Ripley Valley. It had a population of 1,405 people, as recorded in the 2016 Australian census.

The development is considered to be the country’s largest planned community.
History of Ripley Ripley has a rich history and is situated in the Yagarabul traditional Aboriginal country. In the mid-1800s, the settlement in the area began with some farming communities. Most of the land was occupied by farmers who used to grow various crops. However, the master-planned development was announced in 2007, after which the suburb started to grow. As Ripley is located within the Ripley Valley, it took its name from the same valley.
