Overview Riverhills is a south-western suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located 19.5 km by road southwest of the Brisbane central business district. It shares boundaries with the Brisbane River to its west, Wacol Station Road to its south-east, and Wolston Creek in its south. Riverhills had a population of 4,042 people as per the 2016 census.

History of Riverhills The Centenary Suburbs, the western part of the original landholdings, was part of the Wolston Estate. It has 54 farms on an area of 3000 acres but in 1901 offered for auction at Centennial Hall. This estate was owned by M.B. Goggs that his father obtained in the 1860s. In 1879, the local government area of Yeerongpilly Division was made, and in 1891, some parts of the area were excised to create Sherwood Division. The Shire of Sherwood was amalgamated into the City of Brisbane in 1925. The suburb was officially named in 1972 by Queensland Place Names Board.
