History of Dolans Bay Dolans Bay was likely named after Patrick Dolan, a landlord inside the region, and perhaps their son, Dominick Dolan. In 1856, Patrick Dolan bought around 286 acres next to the harbour. In 1858, Mary and Andrew Webster spent 108 pounds and 15 shilling for the property inside this region, including an annual penny quit fee. In 1863, the Websters sold their farm to Dominick Dolan. C. Monro Ltd. and auctioneers marketed 30 allocations of the "Port Hacking Seymour Estate" for sale on April 9, 1927. On one of the plots, a brick cottage was for sale.
