Overview Inala is a suburb that belongs to the City of Brisbane local government area in Queensland, Victoria. It is located within the federal division of Oxley and measures 7.1 square kilometres in total land area. This suburb is located approximately 15 km from Brisbane CBD. Inala is also bordered by Darra, Oxley, Durack, Richlands, Forest Lake, and Doolandella.

History of Inala The Surveyor-General of Queensland in 1952 designated the name Inala. It was taken from a Bundalung word that means “night time”. Before being named Inala, this suburb was called Boyland's Pocket.
