Overview Mudgeeraba is a suburb of Queensland's Gold Coast City, situated at the foot of the Gold Coast Hinterland. As per the 2016 data census, 29,040 residents are based here while having a total land area of 25.8 square kilometres.

History of Mudgeeraba Mudgeeraba was founded in 1852 as a cattle range, with farm choices beginning in the late 1860s. Timber harvesting was also widespread, and there were three sawmills and several dairy farms in the area by the 1900s. Plenty of the older colonial houses still survive in Mudgeeraba, and Robyn Burrows' book 'Dairies and daydreams; the Mudgeeraba narrative' has the stories of the ancient local dairy farmers.
