Overview Rosemount is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is located immediately east of Nambour and bordered by the Petrie and Paynter Creeks on its north, east, and south. As recorded in the 2016 census, Rosemount had a population of 1,585 people.
Living in Rosemount Rosemount is a leafy green, peaceful place and covers a high Ridgeline that extends from Nambour to Maroochydore. The suburb has attracted some excellent rural/residential developments, and most of them are of modest range. History of Rosemount Rosemount was an early cane farm on Petrie Creek, and in the 1880s, farm selections were made. These selections were made for growing cane. In 1866, a primary school was opened in the area, and it was also popular as Sylvania school.
