Overview Spring Gully is a suburb located in north-central Victoria, particularly within the city of Bendigo. This suburb is located about 5 km from the city centre and is home to 3,000 people (as per the 2016 census). The suburb's location is right along the border of a State Forest, which serves as the catchment of the Spring Gully Reservoir.

History of Spring Gully The suburb's name is based on the natural feature of its physical location and the presence of the Spring Gully Reservoir. Since 1877, this area has been thriving because of many gold mining activities. The reservoir was an essential part of the mining activity in the area and was also relied on for domestic use.
