Overview Holmview is a newly developed Queensland suburb. The planned residential locality is a part of the City of Logan. Holmview is located 38 km south of the Brisbane CBD, and the Logan River forms its northern boundary. The suburb shares its borders with Edens Landing to the north, Waterford to the west, Bahrs Scrub to the south and the Beenleigh town to its east.
Living in Holmview Holmview is an expanding suburb dominated by primarily families and couples. Bus services connect it with Brisbane and other nearby suburbs, with Holmview railway station only 5 minutes from Beenleigh. History of Holmview Holmview was originally in the Beenleigh locality. The suburb is named after the Holmview railway station, created in 1885 in Beenleigh. August Thorsborne, a hotel owner from Beenleigh, started a brewery in the suburb in 1873.
According to the 2016 census, Holmview had 2,358 residents, and a third were from New Zealand, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada and France.
In 1975, it got the official designation of a neighbourhood within Beenleigh. Holmview became a separate suburb in 2003.
