Overview West Pennant Hills is a suburb positioned in Sydney’s northwest section. The suburb is separate from Pennant Hills, which lies on its east. Some of the suburbs surrounding West Pennant Hills are Beecroft, Carlingford, North Rocks, Castle Hill, and Cherrybrook, among others.
M2 Motorway borders it on the southeast and Pennant Hills Road, and Cumberland Highway on the east. In 2016, the place recorded a total of 16377 residents.

History of West Pennant Hills In 1796, a convict named Andrew Thompson received acres of land located opposite Pennant Hills’ signal station. The suburb earned its name from the area’s geological characteristics and artificial developments. The word Pennant is derived from the flag pole displayed on the highest peak of the hills covering the north section of Parramatta.
