Overview Kedron is a northern suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The suburb lies on Gympie Road and Kedron Brook. Kedron is an inner-northern suburb neighbouring Stafford, Wavell Heights, Chermside, Nundah, and Lutwyche. The area is close to Westfield Chermside shopping centre. The population was recorded as 9,359 people, according to the 2016 census.

Living in Kedron Kedron is known for its natural beauty with all basic facilities and amenities. The Brisbane Cantonese Christian Church is a popular landmark along with the War Memorial in Lutwyche Cemetery. The cemetery contains more than 100 gravestones of servicemen, and most of them gave their life in World War II. Other notable places in the suburb include Padua College Halls, Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Church of Christ, Kedron Brook stream, and Kedron Football Club.

History of Kedron In 1838, Missionaries settled in the Nundah area, and they were granted 500 acres of land alongside the watercourse. They named the watercourse Kedron Brook after a famous valley near Jerusalem. In 1856, Alexander and Amelia Barron settled in the area, while the first land sales were in 1857. In 1862, the first judge of Queensland, Alfred Lutwyche, purchased 50 acres of land and named his residence Kedron Lodge. Now, this lodge is heritage-listed and located on the border between Kedron and Wooloowin.
